I'm giving up soda in 2006.

With how much of it I consume and the fact that it's nothing but empty calories (hundreds of empty calories) as I refuse to just switch to diet sodas, this may well cause me to drop at least 20 pounds. Maybe even between 30 and 40; I drink a lot of the stuff.

I may well be healthier for it too. Probably not happier though.

Wow, good luck with that. FWIW, I started drinking diet soda, and I'm now finding regular stuff way too sweet to the point where I can only drink it in small amounts.

IG,

You may want to try Coke's "Zero" line. Some of them aren't half bad and they all have zero calories. Sprite Zero is especially good.

Jay, thank you for the suggestion but part of me wants this to be an exercise of willpower. Either I pass completely without cheating, or I fail. Simple as that.

Mord, thank you for the encouragement.

Smile

My New Year's resolution is to phone up a whole bunch of people I haven't talked to in a while and say hello.

I think I can stick to that.

Happy New Year guys! I would have posted earlier, but I came back home at 7 in the morning drunk, woke up at noon drunk, went back to sleep at 3 drunk, woke up at 7 in the evening hung over. Then instead of browsing on the internet, I went to my friend's place and played XMen on his XBox till 4 in the morning the next day (finished the game). So new years day and eve was both fun for me.

Well, new years would have been fun was I not too drunk. This really hot girl I know tried to kiss me on the lips, but being really fucking drunk, I fell over and missed her lips and smacked her on the nose instead. Laughing
