Indeed. What we need is more games with the storyline calibre of Planescape: Torment. No other game I can think of lives up to that.

Wrong. Nothing beats the story behind "Donkey Kong". Rescue a pretty girl from a big hairy monkey? With Donkey's involved somehow?? What more do you want?!?

Make a nice article out of it and try and sell it to ars Wink

Actually, that's not a bad idea.

It's actually a fracking GREAT idea. I never would have even thought about it.

/me plots...

I also second JRs' recommendation of Beyond Good & Evil, which left me begging for a sequel that I'm sure won't happen.

There will be no sequel, but apparently Peter Jackson played, finished, and loved the game so much that he hired the BG&E development team to do the King Kong video game. I got this info from Electric Playground. So it might actually be a decent, non-formulaic movie game after all!

So it's their fault that to win the game, you have to "lose" it? That's a hell of a way to end a game. Sad

Though, in their defense it's said that you can unlock another ending, but how many people are going to go through all that?
