Very cool JR. Looking forward to fight night tonight myself. I'm definitely bringing the lev 28 Rogue there to play for a bit, though I'm not sure whether or not I'll bring the druid as making the trip through the Wetlands isn't something I want to do at Level 15.
One character is enough anyway! Besides I might want to escort my buddy's lev 15 druid through the wetlands just so he can get there. At least I can protect him with the Rogue.... while the first crocolisk up to bat would eat my druid for lunch, spit him out and then eat him again for the hell of it |

My first trip through the Wetlands was around lvl 13, I think, along with a lvl 14 char of Dvixen's. Simple strategy, RUN. Do not stop for anything.
Since then, I've taken the rest of my chars through it, my record being level 7 with only two deaths.

Hmmmmm.... might be worth a shot then. I didnt spend any time in WoW last night but I might be able to put in the time and get both chars over. Getting back would be quite easy as I would grab the flight paths as I make my initial run.....

Im a retard. It took some convincing but Trakonus agreed to go with me to Loch Modan tonight. We made the Wetlands run pretty easy - he only died once I didnt die at all. I took him on a tour and got him flight paths for Loch Modan, Ironforge, Stormwind, Westfall and the Harbor. Too bad I picked the wrong day.
We got to the Dam at 7:00 pm server time only to see that nobody was there. I cruised back to the Glanadh forums and found out that Fight Night was actually scheduled for Thursday, not tonight!
DOH!
/me smacks his forehead
I allowed Trak to kick my ass in a duel and humilate me publically on that dam. Hopefully I can recapture some of my lost honor on Thursday night. |

You got him the flight paths and exploration xp. I don't think that's so bad.

Seriously, nobody wants a free 10-day pass? I'm getting offers from people finding the site through Google.
I've started printing off full-colour maps of various WoW areas. Horrific waste of ink but they come out really purty...

For the cost of the ink cartridge(s) you will waste, spend $25 USD like I did and buy the Atlas:
http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=%22World+of+Warcraft%22+atlas&btnG=Search+Froogle&hl=en
~200 pages of full color map goodness in hardback format

I'm guessing you can't run the damn game from behind a web proxy, right?

Nope. A P3-700.

Well, the minimum requirements are a P3-800, so you could technically still run it (although you'd probably have to dial down the graphic detail)

HotU also has a minimum of P3-800, and I'm running it on a P3-700.
The thing I find at times is that if there is a real large battle, the game will tend to crash.

Graphics are the limit. A low-level P3 will run it just fine if you've upgraded the graphics capability to something reasonable.
I should try it on my work laptop, a subcompact PIII-600, but the graphics card really really sucks so it probably won't work. Hell, NWN barely ran on my Celeron 1.8Ghz, 512MB RAM, but crappy integrated graphics.

That's hilarious!
So does our guild ever do big quests like that, with TeamSpeak, etc? Because that looks really cool. Minus the Leroying of course.

We're aiming for it - and we do have a TS server. (Guild forum has info, it's closed to the public to protect my bandwidth.)

What kind of bandwidth do you have? I just got my DSL connection upgraded (and I'm paying less!) to 6000 down/512 up yesterday and I've already got win2k3 server setup with IIS on that box....
So if you are looking for somebody else to host, perhaps I can help?

I played with Feign a bit last night and had a great time!
We wandered all over the northern Westfall sowing havoc upon the Defias brotherhood. After Feign retired for the evening I went on complete a couple of quests and get myself to 13th level.

Sounds cool. I might need your help for a couple of Delfias-related quests next time I'm on.
