|
|
So far, most of the landblocks have nothing in them that is terribly interesting - however both the Osy Sewers (accessed from the SW corner of Osyville) and the Osy Swamp are populated with low level creatures.
Creatures in both the sewers and the swamp are respawning. Huzzah!
Once things are more complete the UOACS (UOAbigails Crafting System) will be implemented. There is a banking system in the works with item storage and something similar to the stock market.
Planned features are subject to change, so I won't put them here.
Required to login are both expansion, and the CEP 1.01. The CEP has many fun additions that I'm trying to find ways to fit it all in.
The server will be left up to run for stability checking, and will be brought down reasonably often to test new stuff.
There is NO death system in at this time.
No NPCs exist yet to sell stuff to - but not a huge biggy as there are no creatures dropping loot yet!
Many thanks to JJB, Magus and Maxi for letting me spawn random things on them so I can see what the new CEP creatures are like. Many good ideas came out for all of us from that, I think.

It's not called Smamlandia anymore?
Can we work on new areas ourselves and get them added to the world?

Some of the UOACS items have been added, and need to be verified they will work as intended.
In the Orchards and Fields, there are many Tree types.
What I need is for someone to try to attack each one - each should give a 'must have woodsman's axe' message - unless you have an axe from the previous incarnation of Smamlandia, in which cse you should get a slightly different message as it tries to chop the tree down.
But what I'm looking for - are trees that do NOT give the 'must have a woodsman's axe' message when you attempt to attack when not having an axe in your inventory/wielded.
ie The Olive tree (in Fields) and the Sausage trees (in Orchards E) appear to be not reacting correctlywhen there is no axe in inventory.
Will also be needing to know which ones work with the woodsman's axe- but since I haven't provided any in game yet - that can wait.
More stuff to be added most likely tommorrow - we're on our way out for the day. Wish us fun!

Trees have been mostly tested. Thanks to me for testing!
The Tradeshall (in Osyv N) exists, and has been populated with furniture needed for crafts, and a merchant who will sell the items to perform all crafts. He should buy any wood and food you find.
At this time, fishing and lumberjacking are in and relatively complete. Recepies based on those skills are in and waiting to be found. Farming is next in the works - so if anyone finds anything wrong with lumberjacking and fishing, let me know sooner than later.

Building is on hiatus for a bit - I got a sliver in one of my fingers in a bad spot and using the mouse hurts like a son-of-a-bitch. Paolo has to open it up with a needle to get it out.

More landblocks are populated by huntables. Some even drop loot!
Landblock cleanup in place - will save on CPU cycles by removing triggered creature spawns (if not killed) and any loot left on the ground after a set amount of time. This will not be implemented in any of the city zones.
Mycology items are still not placed.
Most farming and lumberjacking materials are.
Silk producers also not placed.
Banking system is in and will be live for testing in a day or so.
Currently shopping around for death and bindstone systems.

Dvixen, are you overlaying the 'map' in your first post to a map you've created in order to guide yourself on your mod's map?
... ie, portions of Nordock seem to 'overlay' directly onto the map they provided for the game.

Nordock's map is on crack.
But yes, I am doing something similar - however I have not generated a real map yet - it exists as a pencil crayon sketch somewhere in this mass of 100 pieces of paper...

I sketched out a map of my 'world' on a piece of scrap paper from the office and have been revising it. I'll probably not map it one-to-one with my campaign as I change my mind too often and would wear a hole inthe paper.

Note: If at any point an error about a missing hak-pak comes up while trying to connect to smamly - I forgot to disassociate a hak I am using to organize the Palette while I build.
It can be found here.
It doesn't add anything to the module other than a lighter headache while trying to manage my own custom creautres (100 at this point, and I've barely scratched the surface...)

I am new at this and I'd ask someone to help me with advice. I applied as recruiter manager at JobQueen, they promise to pay $87,000.00/year. I would like to know if they are for real and if they are how can I get quality sales reps in China. I didn't list the domain because promoting something is forbiden in most forums. So if you want to help me out please contact me direct at my email: |
