5. Avatars

7. Not ugly as hell

Need more reasons...

17. Emoticons are not called "graemlins"

Though I feel it important to mention that you shouldn't say "OSY Extreme is better than Ars" because it is innacurate. Ars is a tech enthusiate site, while OSY/Pegasus3d is a page about Jeremy and his book and other fun stuff, and a forum. Now, if you want to say "OSY Extreme is better than InfoPop," well then, welcome to the club. Wink

Thanks, guys. I appreciate the sentiment and the kind words.

Truth be told, I don't miss the BF that much, although I do pop into Gaming and Mac Ach once in a while.. can't stand the Lounge, it's hella boring. I like ars for the articles, like John S.'s reviews of OSX, and the like. Those are great, as are the links on the front page to new scientific and techie developments.

So each has its place. I'm just happy you guys like mine. Smile

18. No ignorant fucktards, spewing tired, ridiculous bullshit.

Indeed we do like OSY. For me, it's been a real sanity saver at times to come here, and relax with the silliness. Thanks, JR.

Nah, we get that here, too.

It's just that here it's the exception, not the rule.

Thanks, Jeremy.

Ah yes... go to OSY 1.0 (the forums are still open, if read-only) and do a search for "APK".

He was banned from ars numerous times, found his way here and tried his same shit (spamming his own useless utility software and insulting people) and then said some really nasty things to me in email (also, he thought I was MWNH, which is rather ironic given what has happened more recently) and then he posted a picture someone drowing in their own shit or something horrid like that, so I banned him. He came back as "APK1" and I banned him too, and that was the last we heard of him.

Oh yeah, I may have contacted his ISP as well... Twisted Evil

Yeah, but Magus (or Man With No head or whoever you are) what have YOU ever done!!!!!!! Show me your top rated programs!!!!! Don't have any???? Then shut your trap!!!!

As soon as you mentioned APK, I understood. I caught a thread at Ars about him and delved into his history and the reasons why he was banned. Calling him a fucktard at this point is a complete understatement.

I saw a comic similar to that once. Can't remember what it was.

Some french guy hurt his hand doing something and one of the main characters of the comic said something like "Ouch. And that's your surrendering hand too." Another character chimed in with "Don't you use that hand a lot?"

I nearly pissed myself when I saw it. Can't remember what it was called though.

Cheese-Eating Surrender Monkey? Confused

We need reasons? How about somethings just are and somethings just is. Know what i mean?

I like OSY because of the funny posts here. Harb's first response literally almost had me rolling on the floor. Instead i opted for the more, 'sane looking' reaction and decided to just laugh out loud and accept that peeople passing by will just have to figure out themselves why i'm laughing like a hyena.

oh! And its also a place i can revel in my own ego and get away with it. I like that, well more specifically my ego likes it. My id thinks its unethical and my super ego completely adores the lack of virtues this place offers.

uh, did i get that right? Super Ego == part that wants immediate gratification and is the 'sinner' part, versus, 'id' which is the rule book of your psyche. Me needs to subscribe to 'Armchair pop psychology' magazines again. Then i shall psycho analyise you all and call you all classical text case loonies!!!!!

YAY!!!!
