(i.e: a Mac series of games from Bungie)

Anyone has it or has played it? Could it run under Basilisk II on my Ghz laptop? Anyone has Marathon 2 for Windows? Is the games' content available to run under the open source marathon engine? Why so many questions? Why you ask? Because?

I know the Marathon demo ran on my 33Mhz/36MB Performa 575 way back when. I bet it would emulate pretty well.

I've heard that you could run the 68k version under Baselisk II. I'll have to check (I have the BII emulator running System 7.5.something, it's frickin' hilarious watching MacOS boot up in a window) Anyone have a copy? Didn't they open source it or something?

Ok, I'm getting a file called "Marathon Archive.img (761Mb)" from DC++. I hope it's all the games combined or something like that.

The open source engine can be found here, with versions also for OSX. It seems like a port of the original Marathon (M1) datafiles has been done by Raul Bonilla and there's a converter for whoever has the original to the new OSS version.

On another note: just got the Halo 2 trailer. Big Eek

Update:

I haven't got the full Marathon Archive file (stopped at 680Mb or something), but mounted that file with Daemon Tools and configured Basilisk to run at exactly 640x480x8bit, it looks like all the games are running.

Now I have just to find the time to play them, between MW4, Uplink, AC2, Buffy, Halo on Legendary, etc etc etc...
