Even though I've only played bots.

:/

When my ping is under 400, I can actually beat some opponents.

In three matches, I came in last twice. Both occasions my PING was over 750(999).

In the ONE match that my ping was 353, I came in first, out of three opponents(4 players).

Same players, different map.

Hnm.

In any event, I have a solution to my pinging problem.

I have a hard time pinging to my server BUT, everyone else's network is fast. All they have to do, is have me host a server.

I'm playing locally. No ping.

They're playing on a low ping ISP.

I kill everyone. Everyone's happy. Very Happy

Anyone interested? I can setup a server. I've got hundreds of unique maps.

BTW, I emailed iD about this problem. Hopefully, I'll get an answer soon.

Here's my IP for my web site.

172.141.165.101

If you see: "Madan's l33t page!" Then it works.

However, your website loaded up i IE immediately. So i have no clue what the deal is with the latency and the traceroute.

Don't forget, Madan, if you're playing on the server, you have an automatic advantage over everyone else. That's why when we used to play CS on our company LAN over at Electronic Arts, we wouldn't let anyone play on the server-- it had to be a dedicated machine. Even on the low latency of a LAN, it made a difference.

BTW I got to be pretty good at CS, but nowhere near as good as some of the freaks that played in the NBA 2001 SKU. Holy fuck were they good!

So Poopy, you're telling me that my website WORKS but that you can't detect the rest of the server? No other ports and the like?

Uhm, how is that possible? Surprised Surprised

i'm assuming you only have web services enabled, and not FTP services.

Port 80 is open, and as i said above, there is an obvious reason why.

?

No, I've NEVER played on a server. But it wouldn't be an advantage. I suck. Shocked

Actually, I've been getting pings of 350, which, to me, is awesome...

Confused
