This is bloody ridiculous.
NPC wars have been explained in detail such that a child should understand them. Reboots wipe them out.
Yet, every week without fail, some moron starts one. Whoever you are, do you ENJOY wrecking Mordock for the rest of us?
NPC wars mean a variety of fun things:
1) time snaps (my personal favorite) where suddenly things seem to "rewind", often leaving you very damn dead.
2) no way to have a guaranteed safe logout spot
3) no way to sell your loot
I'm THROUGH explaining how these fucking things get started and asking people to be careful. For the last damn time, stop blowing away NPCs, you inconsiderate twit, whoever you are.
If I sound pissed off, it's because I am. You rarely see me on anymore because of this crap.

Indeed.
It's a wonderful thing to have a 1 or 2 day window before everything is so fragged up it's unplayable.

I have a pretty good guess as to whom it is. I won't make any accusations though ...

AYB hopes this didn't happen because AYB was absent from all of Mordock yesterday (for the first time since the Mighty One arrived)

Before the last scheduled reboot, Mord was wandering North of the Black Hills and met a guy who had this choice in his conversation script: "I'm here to rob you." Just for kicks thats what I chose (even after he helped me kill some fire giants, what an ass I am) and he immediately attacked me.
Upon returning to Brosna I found the guards were aggro to me. So I immediately logged to wait for the next reboot and played Vindel instead.
However I don't know what happened the last day or so. It interesting that the NPC wars cause the lag, since the last few times I played I had no lag and thought that was pretty neat.

AYB should make a rule that if NPCs turn red on you, you need to get away if possible and log until a server reset or just don't go near any town or any NPCs. In any event, don't fight NPCs even if you are mortally threatened, death is of small consequence on Mordock.

Please do! Maybe they will listen to you. (Magus and I feel like we are yelling at a brick wall over this whole issue.)

Well I can honestly say I've only had a run in once with NPC's since my "Mord I need help thread.."
It was Sat. night, a bunch of us were starting new PC's and I said the wrong thing to the Rat Catcher's buddy (trying to be a smartass). He attacked me, the Rat Catcher attacked me, and the guy under the pavilion by the front gate of Benzor attacked me.
That's it. Besides that was 2 reboots ago. Sunday's schedualed, and the Storm one.
I was on with a New PC for about an hour and a half last night and didn't notice anything strange but I was only traveling between Benzor and the East March.
Peace

Server was rebooted so the factions should be okay. I also reloaded a new module. I finally had some time to address some issues. See the main thread if you want the details, but I fixed the rods/wands that I broke with the last update, which happend because of my mishandling the CEP versions.

Well I seemed to have found another way to piss off a portion of the NPCs.
At about 20th lvl, Aidens "Turn Undead" turned to a Dominate spell. (although this may also have something to do with his "evil" alignment)
I found out Sat. that if I attacked the Dominated Undead, it pisses off some NPCs. The answer is to release them from the spell before you attack.
Must have something to do with attacking a "friendly." Although I'm not quite sure why the chickens in Sholo would care that I killed a Vampire Rogue.
Anywho, Aidens been on voluntary leave on Murlock Island since the incedent. The only victims were the talking cows outside the West Brosna Hills. (Fred killed them after a battle with some giants and before I could unsummon him.)
Peace

Dominated creatures' faction changes from "Hostile" to "Commoner". Any questions?

Won't anyone think of the children? The good Captain has gone berzerk and is killing all of the NPCs in Benzor. Currently he and Argyle are playing punch and judy since both are invuln.

I have NO idea what spawned this ... all of my characters are good. I don't think anyone else was in Benzor tonight except JJBs char that I res'd but the fighting was occuring before he arrived.
Pretty much every NPC in the vicinity of the docks is dead except the Captain and Argyle.

Yes, it was last night somewhere around 10pm or 10:30pm MDT. I mentioned it in IRC but I neglected to post.

What anonymity levels of HTTP proxy servers exist?
1. Transparent - these proxies are not anonymous. They don't hide IP-address of a client and let a web server know that you are surfing through a proxy server. The task of such proxies, as a rule, is information caching and/or support of Internet access for several computers via single connection. Such proxies are not applicable for security and privacy while surfing on net. You can use them only for network speed improvement.
2. Anonymous - these proxies don't show your real IP but change the request fields so it is very easy to detect that you are using proxy.
3. High Anonymous - these proxy servers do not pass an IP-address of a client and don't send any variables indicating that you are using proxy server to host and look like real browser.
