I consider myself very patriotic.
It is not a bad thing. My country is far from perfect (mostly because of lawyers and politicians) but I think the US is one of the "Good" contries and has done a lot of good for the world (some bad too, but whaddyagoonado?)
It's political system is messed up with legislation dictated by conflict of interest where things like copyright laws are written by copywrite lawyers and accounting laws are written by shady accountants. Yet I like it here.

well i was just being silly, even though i agree with what i wrote earlier, but not what the tone was suggesting.
I'm all up for patriotism, nationalism, religion and politics. They seem to have a place in our society. However it should not be our number one or number two trait. The day humans had a chance to mature into an adult species is when we touched the moon. The day that chance was taken away from us was when the space race was brought to a halt. We're a very narrow minded and close minded species. Well not all of us.
So i'm a patriot too. I'm a nationlist as well. However calling my self a 'universian' don't sound right. Add to that i have to contend with small pathetic minded humans asking me, 'what is a universian', and i have to explain to them that the universe is a huge gigantic playground which we should spend our time exploring.
So you can be content and proud of what your nation has achieved.
I'll be proud of what my universe has achieved. Compared to what my universe has done compared to your nation, your nation is a tiny iny weeny little blip in the grand scheme of things.
i do like america because they have the money and the resources for the space exploration. i'm all for supporting NASA. I litterally get sad and upset when i hear a space mission has failed, like when the recent satellite broke into three.
its odd that the supposed master of the universe is proud of such an insignifcant little nano thingy in the universe. 
maybe you should hand that title to me.
