I don't own a 360. I went through a lustful phase in November but got over it because the launch titles don't interest me. Since then, though, I've had three or four dreams that involved either buying an Xbox 360 or playing one.

I think Microsoft has devised the ultimate marketing strategy: infiltrating people's dreams! I don't know how they managed it, but now I'm that much more likely to buy a 360 simply so I'll stop having these fucking dreams! Mad

Man, that's whack to be sure. I can't say I've had many dreams about consoles, or shopping. (Of course, I don't have many dreams at all, so maybe it's not so abnormal.)
This is the XBOX 360! you wil purchase me immediately!
At least you're not like, hallucinating or anything.
I'm not shitting, get out your credit card!

Laughing Laughing Laughing

Yeah. I've never had a shopping dream before... or even a dream about a consumer product. It's really weird.

I've dreamt about games and future games, like XMen 3 for the consoles. My friend one day decided to start playing XMen (this was in December last year) and then we played Xmen 2 in early January. I think we played 3-4 nights total (for both games?) for around 12 hours straight each night. Can't remember the details, but man did the four of us play xmen for a long time. It's a really fun team game. Also, it's a game that made me dream about it when I got back home afterwards. I swear, my dreams for possible Xmen 3 levels and big bosses are sweet and I may submit them to the right developers.

If XMen 3 comes out on the XBox360, i'd be all over it like Hugh Hefner on vaiagra and his many playmates.

Actually, that's a good point. I've had dreams that were influenced by video games -- Resident Evil 4, Fatal Frame II... yeah. Nightmares, really. Razz

Try running an entire WoW battleground in your dreams. Very Happy

You know you're hooked when...

Oh yeah, I remember the dreams when I played the first two warcrafts. Man, it's the sole reason why I refuse to play WoW at all. Some of the SIM games were like that for me too. So damn addictive. I never ever had dreams about Quake, Unreal, and Doom even though I did play the originals for a few hours a night. The later games are just toooo boring to get my attention.
Yet, even though the Sim games and WoW aren't any more different then the original concepts they were based on, they still hook me. Damn!

Boring? Quake3 was only boring in single player, but that was only good for practicing when your clan wasn't available. Smile

Clearly they've emulated Futurama-level technology!

(I must confess... I've had WoW dreams myself... ack!)

After spending the weekend playing with streaming media to a friend's Xbox 360 over a network and from iPods I'm even more impressed with the system than I was before. MS has done a lot right this time around. I used to share Nintendo's view of consoles -- that they should focus on games and not much else -- but the Xbox 360 Dashboard/network/game integration is so slick that I think I've changed my mind. Pending games that interest me (Oblivion, Mass Effect) and an HDTV purchase, I'm sold. I'm not huge on racing, but cruising the streets of Tokyo in PGR3 while listening to the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack streaming from my iPod instead of the game's soundtrack was fucking cool. Playing Hexic to some Massive Attack was even cooler. Very Happy
