This year, AYB went to two haunted house amusement things, the first was awesome, the second was lame.

Aren't we 8/9 (depending on timezone) days early for this? Or we deciding to follow consumerist schedules where we start doing things weeks in advance and end up diluting the whole meaning of the original holiday by the time it comes around? Or does the smam keep the holiday spirit strong?
